Al Gore, Your Country Needs You

Election 2008 Add comments

Shameless plug for a good cause:

An e-cquaintance and I have started a campaign aimed at convincing Al Gore to publicly endorse Barack Obama’s 2008 Presidential bid:

Vice President Al Gore, we are calling on you here and now to endorse Senator Barack Obama in his bid for President of the United States. As a man of your accomplishments and stature, your voice will travel farther and louder than the voices of others. Your words will convince swing voters that they should vote not for the Establishment candidate, but for the right candidate.

Mr. Vice President, we are in need of your support, and we are in need of it now.

Al Gore, your country needs you.

Everyone else, please head over and write a letter urging Mr. Vice President Gore to show public support for Senator Barack Obama.

Yes, Al Gore, your country needs you TO ANNOUNCE YOU WILL STAND FOR THE NOMINATION.

Al Gore was very clear that IF he endorsed, they would have to share his positions and policy. Obama does not. Therefore he shouldn’t even be asking for it.

John Edwards was the closest to the positions. And he walked the talk, turning his home Green and his cars.

Obama has been pushing Nuclear Energy, the Lobbyist backed Liquified Coal-that would have added so much pollution (CO2) and increased the rate of Global Warming, voted for Cheney’s Energy Bill and will not support the Carbon Tax and refused to call for a moratorium on Coal Fire Plants until we have the technology to Capture and Sequester the Carbon.

No, Obama will not get Al Gore’s endorsement.

  2. Jon Says:

Mr. Obama is exciting a lot of people. He has intelligence and charisma. We will see if that is enough to overcome his lack of political experience.

I think intelligence and leadership ability and the ability to inspire people is enough to overcome inexperience.

  3. Walter Lynn Mosley Says:

Perhaps Al Gore is more effective for influencing change in the role he has taken, as a spokesman.
